Lola’s Cupcakes would like to improve the online shopping experience in order to increase their conversion rate. The web allows some customization inside the product page, but customers cannot see how the board would look like or change other aspects of the cake.

How can we make the user feel confident about their decisions, since they cannot see the final result?

We focused on creating an easy and intuitive experience for the user by offering all possible options and allowing them to preview the final product before placing an order. To do this, we analyzed the market beyond direct competitors, researching industries such as car brands and window companies to understand how much product customization they allow. This broader perspective helped us rethink how to organize and present our products more clearly. We worked as a team, first generating ideas individually and then coming together to apply the Crazy 8s method, sharing the strongest concepts and collectively selecting the solutions that best solved the problem.
